It's a mystery......

...... why Widget thinks he 'makes' things at our house!!!!!  This time he wanted to make something for his mum - too hot to be outside in the middle of the day so bits were and he set to work....

(he needs quick projects... can't sit still for very long!) - such concentration!

this is one of the covered Jar Scrap Challenge projects that Anorina has shared .... (it also happens to be a great child friendly project)

... here is widgets vase....

... and we even found some pretty roses to put in it....

I have been keeping up with my Aiming for Accuracy blocks and we are close to the end now...

the main blocks were made and we have been doing the smaller 'filler' blocks the last couple of lessons

this is one half done...

... and the other half done...

.. and now they are together ...

... the borders are to be done this week....

so far I'm loving it.... and Hubz has his eye on this one!!

Righto, Gotto Go.. the lesson for the borders in up on line now...

Your quilt is turning out really well, nice colours. Good to see that you're passing your creativity on, nothing more special than gifts made by little hands.

What a great job Widget did. Any "Mum" would be proud to own that little treasure. And what a terrific influence you are to share your scraps and encourage his creativity. Hubs knows what he likes, doesn't he. What a beautiful quilt you have going there.

Your Widget sounds like my nieces when they come to visit. Their teens now and they still ask what they can make at my house.
Love the new quilt for the Hubz. Enjoy your borders.
