Third Week of May

The big chop is happening (70"square) and sewing has started.  I do need to purchase some fabric for a binding - the bits I have are just not the right brown.

This was a quilt I made my daughter some years ago but her colour choices are quite different now.. it is lovely and soft from many washings - and I'm excited about a new winter jacket.

Block #10 of Caswell is done.....

This week at Quilt Club I got these 4 Sashiko blocks sewn....

... and today at Embroidery Guild I did these 4 ....

I'll need to sit down and trace more out .....

Righto, Gotto Go..... time for a gin and tonic before supper.....

Have a good rest of the week...xx

Very interesting project that jacket. I hope you will take more pictures as you are progressing on this one. The Caswell block is perfect for your time of the year I'd say. It's part summer, part fall colours and completely gorgeous. ;^)
