Tuesday Treasure

This weeks treasure is a knitting pattern written in my grannies handwriting....

It makes these lovely little shoes ...... my mum and aunt wore them, me and my siblings all wore them, my children wore them and now I make them for grandies.....

Just thought I'd show you a picture of these eggs, given to me by a friend with chooks - methinks these chickens are in pain!

What a nice treasure , nice that your dear grandmother wrote it but also that it has had lots of use over the years , the little knitted socks are adorable.
I think those chooks are in pain!

How precious, you should laminate it to preserve it - very special that you're still making the darling booties! And yes, I think those poor hens are in pain, lol!

Some of the simplest things mean the most and are so often lost along the way. What a great treasure.

I have similar knitting patterns that are written in my Grandmothers hand. In some of her knitting books she had made notations of measurements, who she had knitted it for, etc. I also have her knitting needles that I knit with. Such treasures.

I love the little shoes - and the pattern is a treasure. I have a small notebook/journal my grandmother kept in 1954. I wouldn't take a million dollars for it! blessings, marlene
