January Week 4

Daughter, Grandson and cat are now rehomed here.... mostly we only see the cat as the others are out and about.

Apollo has made himself quite at home....

I did manage to get this block for Gossip in the Garden finished this week.....  Michelle, who I am sewing along with gave me that teacup fabric some years ago and I've never been sure what to make with it....  fits well in the pot doesn't it?

I have started on the borders for CWB --- it's a looooooong process and the vine is a bit fiddly so it is going very slowly....

Cheryll is hosting  TGIFF (Thank Goodness It's Finished Friday).  I made up this little basket yesterday using some of my black and white scraps and paired it up with some bright red linen (also scraps)

Joy shared this pattern as she is hosting One Gift a Month Challenge.  It's a nice quick basket and can be filled with something nice when the time comes for a gift.

I'm glad I had Cheryl's nudge and Joy's pattern link or I wouldn't have had anything made ... it's been lots of bits and pieces lately.....

Righto, Gotto Go.... I want to read what others have made, but first..... COFFEE refill and an allergy tablet (why we don't have a pet cat!) ....

Hope you have a lovely weekend.....

Apollo is s fine looking fellow. Now he will have two more servants. The fabric basket is effective in your fabric choices and the first block of Gossip is perfect to showcase that fabric.

Love your Gossip block! And a very handy fabric basket. I don't envy you that border but it will be fabulous when you're done. Apollo is a cute little bloke even if he is the deliverer of sneezes xx

The teacups were just waiting for your Gossip project .
A cute wee basket.
Oh the border does look tricky. I’ll have one similar to do on my Laundry Basket quilt soon.

Tea cups with a tea pot, great pairing if you ask me. Apollo looks very settled, he will be a great sewing inspector too I'm sure. Cute basket, they do come in handy for all manner of things.

Lovely block and basket. Good to get in some sewing in amongst the business off juggling family.
And good luck with the cat allergy.

He looks perfectly at home! The boys used to have baskets like that for all their toiletries, stopped them spreading all over the window sill, lol
