An empty house....

There has been a lot of playing in this house...  and not much of this sitting quietly for a picture

these two little boys kept me very happily busy

Nana - nap was redefined..... who is the nap for anyway?

the swing chair was the best nana investment EVER....

Today the house is very quiet and empty....

This is a finish I have had for a little while to share for One Christmas Item per month at Narelles - there is heaps of inspiration on her page HERE

This is a block by Lynette Anderson - it was part of a larger quilt and I was gifted this block which I have made into a candle-mat.... I started it some time ago so it is also a finished UFO....

I think I managed to crochet the edge of one fusion blanket square over the last 5 days... good going with a full house

Righto - Gotto Go... space to clean so I can get my sewing things out again!!
(I have to fill my empty nest syndrome with something?)

How lovely to have your house filled with little ones for a few days. Hopefully you can get to visit them in Carins.

yes the house does feel empty and very quiet when they all leave ... but then normality seems to return after a short while and life begins all over again ... but still there is always something missing ... the sweet sounds of little people ...

i miss mine terribly ... big hugs for you xxx

Such precious little boys. Isn't napping with a baby the best way? Enjoy your peace, I'm sure they will be back for more of their Nanna.

Love your angel block. I hate the first week when people have left, the house seems so empty, but then I get use to the peace again and start looking forward to the next visit..... Hugs

I am sure there is nothing better than a house full of grandies....so worth having to put all of your sewing things away, right? Both of the boys are just as cute as can be and I'm so happy that you had those few days with them (which I'm sure passed all too quickly!).

Love the little candle block...that is precious!

XOXO,

Cyndi

What a gorgeous candle mat. I am also looking forward to a reasonable quiet week for a change lol. No one home sick and not such a busy week with work to do other than stitching lol.

Lovely pic of the two of you!
I bet the house gets quiet once they are gone... but we are still here waiting to see what creativeness you show us! :)

Hope your sewing space is back in action - it helps fill the quietness left when the children leave.
The block is perfect as a candlemat.
Enjoy sewing or hooking up a storm.

Lovely quilting on the mat...was that all free hand or did you stencil it....I think I'd have been better off doing the free motion quilting on my latest project as it has some puckers and uneven stitches and I'm ever so disappointed in it....
Nice to have visiting wee ones but having the quiet house is a blessing too once they're gone. You're lucky to have wee ones to cuddle...
