Bread Basket - Exchange

Lovely Cheryll from Gone Stitchin' has been hosting Let's Exchange and the most recent one was a fabric Bread Basket and some novelty buttons....

I have never made one of these, or indeed really seen one where to examine it properly.... luckily there were some links and I kindof improvised so I could make it reversible as well as add some free motion quilting....

I was thinking happy summer BBQ's......

I'm afraid it is a bit 'floppy' ......

we added novelty buttons to our gift.... I found these rather fun ones to include.....

some daisy free motion quilting....

My friend Mr Postie came by yesterday with a 'squishy'......

and look at all that was there.....

... how beautiful is this.....

an applique butterfly (I think Pat knows I love butterflies and bugs)

lovely firm deep sides...... and this beautiful peachy yellow fabric....

and look at all these buttons..... I can't choose which is my favourite - I love them all .....

... and.... and... Pat added a lovely washcloth and cream
my fingers are so dry with this cold weather so the cream is now in my stitching container....

the backing fabric is lovely too......

Pat also sent a lovely card - she doesn't have a personal blog so it was wonderful to hear from her and get to know my 'swappy' a little.....

Thank you so much Pat... I really love what I received and I hope my little floppy offering will find a place in your home.....  maybe it can travel with you for those picnics on the roadside?

Others baskets are on a linky - I'm off HERE to have a look...

meanwhile - my pinwheels backing is growing....
