New to me is a flower....
Another of my African Violets grown from leaves has burst it's first flower....
The pinks are fairly close but are a bit different....
It's looking quite a pretty corner now - gets the morning winter sun....
The next one will be white... there are some nice fat buds coming along....
I am the caretaker of these plants… pretty impressed as usually I torture houseplants to a slow death....
New to me is this latest finish......
My sewing machine has it's new home! The front has this machine stitchery
.. and the back is this lovely sewing machine fabric....
… it looks quite at home....
(and no, my sewing space is not usually this tidy)
.. and a new to me meal.....
This weeks soup is lentil and vegetable.... (thanks to Janice for sharing the recipe)
a bit of curry powder in it and it warmed us up perfectly... as well as filled the belly
Righto, Gotto Go.... Friday is here to enjoy
Have a lovely weekend.....x

Love your African Violets, they are growing beautifully. Almost makes me want to try growing them again. :). Gorgeous machine cover & the soup looks tasty. Hugs,xx
Such lovely new to you things
My hubby has some lovely African violets
Iam the killer here
Well done with the African violet, so nice to see the flower. You have made a wonderful machine cover and that soup sounds great too.
Your African violets look great. I am not the best keeper of indoor plants either but find the self watering pots by Decor really help, plus the AV dont mind periods of dryness. The other plant I succeed at is the Cast Iron (mother in laws tongue is another common name) because I cannot overwater them and they dont mind a period of dry if I forget to water!
Sewing machine cover looks fantastic, such a great use of your stitchery panel.
Well done to your green thumbs! They are beautiful! I am sure the resident Head Gardener is impressed too! Your new machine cover is very swish. Hot soup always hits the spot!
I am jealous of your gorgeous African violets. Something I have no luck with. Great machine cover and your soup looks delicious. Must look up the recipe.

Your African violets look really good, it´s so nice to grow new plants from just the leaves. Love your machine cover, very pretty. Your soup sounds as though it hit the mark xcx
You are doing great to take care of your violets, your sewing machine and your belly! That sewing machine cover is so pretty!
I envy your African violet collection. Mum used to be grow nice ones, but I’m no good at all. I just love your sewing machine cover. The fabric complements the stitcher so well. I’m glad you tried the soup. It’s great on a cold night.
Nice African Violets! Once upon a time, I used to have some. So long ago, I’d forgotten until now. What a lovely sewing machine cover!

Just lovely Fiona,
another project I really need to attack too.
Greetings,

Hi Fiona. I am back from holidays and catching up on posts. You look like you have been very busy, even with an operation in the middle of it all. So pleased it all went well and that you are making a good recovery. Love seeing all your stitching. The flowerville blocks do look good. Such a gorgeous design. And I am impressed with the progress on your crochet blanket. Hopefully I can get back to mine - the weather is cold enough to encourage that.
Last of all, your violets are a delight. Well done getting such a good success rate with those. They are a lovely display.
Your African Violets are GORGEOUS. The pink flowers look just like mine!! I need to clean mine up, they're just past full bloom and looking weary, lol. Love your machine cover!!!
love your sewing machine cover, it might just inspire me to do a couple. I've got to do one for my overlocker and the machine
I'm catching up on my reading after being away for a week visiting family. Your cover looks great! Very professional. And I adore your crocheted blanket finish. Those colors are just perfect :)
Your African Violets are doing beautifully - you must have just the right (neglectful) touch :-) Well done on the cover finish!!! It's gorgeous!
