There and Back Again

Thank you for Grandieboy well wishes... he is doing well and will be out of isolation this weekend...... his sister is now positive and in isolation - no symptoms though....  inevitable really and hopefully they will both get some of their own immunity....

Meanwhile in Queensland masks are back in.... so today I am making some of the 3D ones by See Kate Sew .  Hoping these ones avoid the misting up of my glasses.....

I spotted this the other day....

We had a lovely couple of nights away.... took a drive to see the picturesque Glass House Mountains..... they are acutally more impressive than my picture shows I think I got too much of the foreground in....

The magpies were making a fearful row and we spotted the goanna up the tree....

lots of beach walks.... in the late afternoon the Trainee lifeguards were out training and keeping fit.... they do such a great job ....

Otherwise there was a lot of this.....

... and a bit of this....

When we got home I was pleased to find this Agapanthus flowering... in 6 years it never has and it's a beauty....

Mr Postie had been round...

This arrived from Karen....

... and this one from Susan....

... and this one from Sue....

.... and I realised I still had mine sitting on the dresser waiting to go to the post.... I do hope they arrive before next year!!!

Very little stitching was done but I did finish this one off the last couple of nights....

We also helped YD move house - we did very little as she and a couple of girlfriends did heaps of the work - including driving and packing up the big truck.... Girlpower ....

Good thats sorted - there is a housing crisis here and rents are ridiculously expensive - it's greedy and cruel really...

Righto, Gotto Go... those masks need sewing....

I hope you all have a lovely week

The May Gibb drawing is gorgeous!
Nice to have got a nice break in before mask wearing. I must make a few more before our borders open in February 2022.
No wonder the Maggie’s were going off . The goanna is a big fella.
Your agapanthus is stunning , did it inspire the pretty stitchery flower?
Young ladies are very independent now which is great.

Wow with the May Gibbs painting. I hope your GD recovers as well as your GS. Sounds like you had a fabulous weekend away. I haven't see an Aggie that particular colourway before. Cute and lovely Christmas mail :-)

It is a good thing that young children are so resilient. Good to know your little ones are okay.
Looks like you have had a lovely time away. Good to recharge now and then.
I think moving house is something I don't want to do again, great when you are young, but not now.

Wishing Debs happiness in her new home. House and rent prices are scary...and yes greedy! Gee that Agapanthus is so pretty. Glad you had a lovely mini break and time to recharge. Another sweet CGT embroidery xx

P S so glad the Grandies are on the mend.....damn plague! I think they at least had less movement across towns and countries in May Gibbs time...this just seems never ending. Loved the Grinchy mask I saw lol! Xxx

looks like a lovely get away!
I still have to wear a mask at work, I don't mind so much now as it's the only defence especially with so many people not bothering to wear them
Beautiful stitching as always x
Gee your daughter must have a strange decorating style with that frozen mammoth on the truck lol

How nice that you had a little break away. I do love that May Gibbs picture. Who’d have thought it would be so relevant now. Your aggie is a very pretty variety. I haven’t seen one like that before, just blue or white.
