A fun weekend.....

Girls Stitch In is hosted by The Quilters Angel.  It used to be held annually in March but there has been a break - wonderfully this year it started up again and what great timing....

A wonderful time to just relax and have fun with all that is going on …. we will have a tough few months ahead I think....

There was lots of pretty bows and sparkly candelabra's....

 Snacks to eat...

and liquid refreshments too...

… and then there were people.....  Narelle did a long drive from up North to come for the day , and lucky me stayed the night so we got some 'me' time stitching done in the evening..... Silly me forgot to take a photo but it was so lovely to catch up after a few years!  There was a lovely surprise of yummy chocolates in my fridge that evening!!!  xxx

here I am with Kris who was one of the guest designers....

Look at the lovely bag and tablet case that she designed for the day....

She also had a lovely display of her work and patterns were available for purchase for any of them...

A gorgeous box of bears.... that's gotta make you smile...

The other designer was Natalie Bird, and she had a lovely display of her designs too...

lots of stitcheries and needleturn applique....

Natalie designed this pull up bag.. there was another stitchery on the back and hexagons on the sides....

as well as a handy threadholder... and pincushion to match...

I did take some show and tell.... I made this bag designed by Kris a few years ago....  it's a lovely size and well used....

… and my lovely quilt designed by Natalie (I sewed the binding down Saturday night!!!)

Both Kris and Natalie were so gracious and generous with their time and sharing of skills.... a lovely day out...

I also got to meet June who I have chatted a bit bloggily…. great fun to put a face to the blogger...

I sent June some needles a while ago and included a little card with some mini patchwork.  I was delighted to see the needlebook that June made using the little patchwork.  It's so pretty ….

A fabulous weekend and just what we all needed I think.....  the next one is in September (Stitchers Dream Day Out) and I'm already looking forward to it.

Righto, Gotto Go....  Sunday Stitchers have chosen a new UFO number to work on.... I need to go and find mine!

Wow! That's a perfect weekend. Lots of friends, lots to laugh about and share, food and drinks, show and tell, what else can a quilter asked for? Just perfect, lucky you. :^D Lovely projects and yes, the bears did make me smile. Too cute. Hope your week will be just as lovely. Take care! ;^)

Weren't you lucky to sneak in your stitching day before things got shut down. It looks to have been so much fun. Maybe one day......I can convince Mick that we need to head on up that way and incorporate it in our travels.....one day... It is always good fun to catch up with other bloggers. Now I can put a face to June as well. We did a little swap last year too.
