Last week I finished a UFO.... my animal junction quilt..... I bought the kit from Bec last year..... and started it...... and then of course it sat in the cupboard for a while....

I must say I do love it

the picture doesn't show the colours so well but it is a really happy and bright quilt

I had fun with the backing too....

simple straight line quilting and stripey binding

this was to be a quilt for me to have at my house..... it's quite boyish...

I may need it later this year for maybe a boy .... but there also maybe a girl

.... mmm... I have to do something about that!

Animal Junction

Some time ago I bought this kit from Bec..... this is my first 'kit' quilt

Bec is having a major spring clean (even though it's Autumn here - it's Spring elsewhere isn't it?) and she is selling lots of her fabrics - I had to get some at her BARGAIN PRICES

I have left a few so if have a look HERE and see if there is some you like... (Australia only)

I thought I better make space before the new ones arrive so I have been working on Animal Junction

~ a design using Robert Kaufmann fabrics ~

They are rather delicious colours don't you think?

..... this is the panel before I chopped it up ......

..... and stitched it together again ......

.... top, backing and binding fabric .....

~ oh, oh, oh, I just love stripey binding ~

love, love, love

~ ok... ready to sandwich together ~

~ I just need to quilt this and free up some pins ~

Have a lovely weekend, I'm practicing my free motion quilting... what are you up to?
