FNSI success ....

3rd Friday of the month is FNSI hosted by Wendy..... anybody can join in.... just keep an eye out on her blog for the sign ups.  There is also a Facebook page which gets some socialising happening on the Friday nights as people share what they are doing.

When I can it's an all day event for me..... I had some boring shopping chores to do in the morning and then I set out to play in my sewing room.

The BOM from National Quilt Museum (BOM 2021) has its sashing and binding done - all done by machine.  A bit of wrangling and manouvering in the machine and many pin pricks later.

I used some pretty hand dyed fabrics for the backs of each QAYG block so there is a bit of an interesting back too.

In the evening I continued with hand appliqueing the half hexagon top (Urban City) onto a border...

I have procrastinated on this one for ages, not being sure how to do it.... a friend helped me decide.

So far 2 evenings have been spent on this.... I would say it will be finished tonight.... then the search for a backing will begin...

Righto, Gotto Go..... Hubz is off for golf today... and I will play, play, play....

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.....xx

Wow! Your BOM turned out beautifully. I love how different all of the blocks are but work so nicely together. Great backing too. Did you do the dyeing yourself? Enjoy your weekend :)

Congratulations on finishing the NQM BOM 2021. It's lovely from the front as from the back. Did you hand-dyed those fabrics yourself? They are splendid. Enjoy your day at the sewing machine. ;^)

The QAYG one looks great and the back is nice and bright. Could be a reversible quilt...
The border sure looks challenging. Hope you got it done.

Got to love a QAYG BOM - not that the quilting is a problem for you . . .but
