a big sigh of contentment................

This is what my Design wall looked like on Tuesday morning.....

all my angel blocks were finished and their borders on …. now to fill in the gaps

… and this is how it looked by the end of a busy day sewing...…

I feel it is all rather busy and all over the place... had a chat with my friend Michelle with some photo sending (isn't modern technology wonderful) and she came up with an idea of doing a double border to bring it together...

I had to go shopping!!!

the blue was purchased and I had the orange (part of the same range I used in the quilt) already

… I am hoping to get to do the borders this weekend

I think all the blocks are tagged so if you want to see close up look at the angels scroll through these posts  HERE ….

I did a few more red based circles over the last week... they are a handy pick up and go item....

… and I finished off these few Dutch Treat blocks.....

In fact... that green one is the very last block in the book!!!!

Hooray... and this is what my pile of all 196 Dutch Treat blocks looks like

These blocks were started at the beginning of April 2016 so they have taken a while - though I haven't only done them (as you may have noticed)

.. oh and I did some fun quilting this week too!

Righto, Gotto Go..... because I have finished those blocks I guess I can start something new?

You finished some big milestones this week!! Your Angels look lovely, and I think that blue border really does tie them all together in a nice frame. And soooo many Dutch Treat blocks! Did you think you'd ever get them all done? :)

Your quilt is looking wonderful and so close to the end. Amazing work.
And how good to have also reached the end of your Dutch blocks. Yes, I know they have to be put together but that is easy in comparison to making the blocks.
What a wonderful achievement.

Woot woot - well done on finishing the Dutch Treatt blocks - what a mammoth effort. Have you compared the very first one to the final one - I'm sure it's been a good way to master reverse applique? Looking forward to seeing how these go together.
