Angels are done....

Best Friends …..

and Becky the Bookworm

have been stitched...

So now all the angels are done... they need to be trimmed to size and then sorting out colours to make up the blocks and get them all together... may take a little time......

… meanwhile I have started sewing hedgehog eyes and mouths....

Spring is springing in the garden….

Acer tree

Wisteria

Grevillea

Eremophila

Clivia

Clivia

Amazing what still grows and flowers with so little or no water....

Since painting the house we are slowly putting up some of our pictures and doing some framing

This set we had the frames in the cupboard (took them out their big clumsy ones)

They are actually from Uganda and painted on bark.  They are over 20 years old and there has been no fading.  I love the simplicity and shapes and colours.

The photo is not very good... each picture is just postcard size.  Clever I think.

Righto, Gotto Go..... job job...… and a visit to a park

The paintings from Uganda are wonderful! Love your angels too, I will be Becky and the Bookworm - is there a musical angel? Angels play harps, after all. We have the very same Eremophila with mauve/blue flowers, and right now it is covered in flowers.

Love the book angel, that has a simple but fun character.
Your photos are beautiful and look wonderful on the wall. Wish mine were that white, lol.
I was just thinking of seeing how much it costs to do our main room, I just don't have it in me to do it and the ceiling, and it would be nice to not have to think about it.

I love the colours of the angels quilt. So soft. Your garden is producing some lovely blooms. I’ll have to get out in ours as it has woken up in the week since we returned home.

I think the Ugandan paintings and your angel stitcheries have a lot in common! They are both about the same size, lovingly made by hand, beautiful, and capture universal human emotions :)

Your Angels 👼 look great ! Now the fun begins, trimming, framing and cutting out the small squares. I still have a few more Angels 👼 to stitch...
The hedgehogs are sweet...
love ❤️ the bark paintings from Uganda. Such clever folk painting on such a small piece of bark in such detail.

Well done my friend, your Angel blocks look wonderful... I find such fascination with their skinny little legs & proportionately clunky shoes... or is that my stupid brain at work?!
I look forward to seeing the next stages of the quilt come together,
