February ......

This last week I have been prepping some of my February 'white rabbit projects'........

I have Block 8 of Butterfly Garden ready for hand stitching....

... some secret stuff stitching .....

the next blocks for Some Kind of Wonderful for needleturn applique....

... oh and I found this lovely new BOM.... 6" squares and I wanted a reason to practice my raw edge applique

This is a tree for a swap block.....

... and this is an owl for another swap block....

I have pulled out a UFO "third born of the children second son's precious T shirts that don't fit but are cut up to sew a quilt"

and ironed on lightweight stiffening so that I can cut the squares and work with them without the folded effect seen here....

trimmed all the half square triangles made into squares
(I have 34 of those stars to make)

and pinned a UFO quilt top sandwich ready for quilting....

I like to work this way... then they can sit in their own little box until I am ready and in the mood

I guess we all have our own ways of organising our projects... how do you do it?

Gotta go.... things to stitch... tea to sip....

Looks like you have got lots of interesting things there to sew this month. I do the same thing, I have a couple of prep days at the beginning of the month (today is going to be one of them) and then I'm ready to sew whatever takes my fancy for the rest of the month.
Happy sewing days ahead for both of us. Have fun.

I love your collection of projects to work on - everything is so pretty! I make "kits" that include all the supplies for each project - fabric, interfacing, batting, embellishments, zippers etc. --- I keep the bags in a drawer right beside my sewing machine :) Don't laugh - I know how many projects are in there so when it's time for a new project to come out, I use random.org to pick what I'll work on, LOL!! These are all "extra" projects, mind you - not the "Must Do" projects! Ziplock bags aren't very pretty, but they work pretty well!

I've said it before, and I will say it again....you are far too (bleep bleep) organised!! I am putting it down to your warm weather and the reason I don't accomplish as much is because my brain is cold at the moment... that's my excuse anyway! Hugs

Fiona Great job and you sure are a busy bee. I am getting t shirts together also to turn them into a quilt. I have never done that before. you use a stiffener, what kind, just a lightweight stablizer of some sort?
