I have seen some really lovely vintage sheets being used for fabric....
sadly I haven't found any such beauties....
but I have found some lovely tablecloths made of very nice linen/cotton.... which I am playing with ...
I made these kitchen towels today...... as practice for a gift.......
I think they are lovely, the fabric is so much nicer than many of the dishcloths I find in the shops
- this is all I use now -
Do you repurpose fabric?
Would you send a gift made of repurposed fabric?
Would you be offended receiving something made of repurposed fabric?
Hope your weekend is ultra wonderful
G'day

What a great idea. I see some fabulous linen/cotton tablecloths too but have never bought one. I will now. Thanks.
Fiona they look great and i think it is a marvellous idea, well done
They look lovely. Isn't patchwork repurposed fabric. You take yardage and cut it up and make something new. What you are doing is creative and wonderful.
Pretty dishcloth!. I made a nine patch cushion last year with a piece of doiley for the centre square. It looked great!
They are gorgeous. I would love to receive some thing that beautiful & well thought out. I guess I would gift such items to those who would appreciate them so maybe not everyone. Great idea! Tracee xx
Wonderful idea and I think this will make a beautiful gift and certainly it wouldn't bother me that it was repurposed fabric infact that would add to it. I have reused fabric many times , using denim skirts for things like bags and even placemats with sections for the cutlery that rolled up and were meant for a picnic .Remember not long ago I reused a sheet to make an ironing board cover , oh the list could go on , I am a recyler ;-0 . They are lovely!!
I definitely repurpose, but seldom give them as gifts. The only time I will gift is when the recipient loves antiques or would value them.
Yes, yes, no....anything handmade is precious...I've been looking for some embroidered items to re-purpose....I also like to find vintage hankies...

I think they are wonderful and I am sure anyone would love to receive. I do have a collection of old vintage sheets and linens however I have not repurposed the sheets. Perhas I can...MMM Maybe. Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Kim
I often re-purpose fabric, and no I wouldn't be offended if I received something made from re-purposed fabric. If anything, you know it was especially made. They look lovely and I'm sure whoever to receive such gifts would love them.
I love your repurposed towels and I certainly would think they were a wonderful gift if I received them. I love using vintage linens when I can...I hate seeing them languish on a shelf unused! blessings, marlene
They are beautiful.. I agree with the girls, I would definitely give re-purposed as gifts, but only to some one who will appreciate them, but this goes for things made with brand new material. I love re-purposing, you can do so much..
Yes I would agree with what everyone has said the cloths a just wonderful I would never have thought of making these from repurposed cloth great idea. I still have some cloths in my glory box now 41 years old I will have to go through them to see what there is to repurpose.
(((HUGS))) Roz.

Great idea.
Oh Fiona, I am SO IN LOVE with this idea - I have so many vintage tablecloths - but I'm not sure I could cut them up! Well, maybe some that are spotted and stained. I think this is an awesome idea!!!
I think they're lovely! I've never seen one of these fancy vintage sheets anywhere, maybe we never had them in the UK!
I am in the process of cutting up a huge pile of old clothes which I incorporate into my sewing.
A big thank you Fiona for my beautiful swap which arrived today, what a lovely surprise when I opened my parcel, They both look so pretty, can't wait to put them on my blog. Thank you again
