Second week of November

Hello..... suddenly all my comments are coming to me No Reply...... anybody have any idea how to fix this???

Apologies if I don't answer, sometimes I can't find your address - I had several come back to me as I must have used an old one or something....

We have had a hot week here .... with odd storms coming through but not yielding much rain, nor cooling down..... .

This week I finished off the linen shirt I started at my last sewing class...

I learnt how to do buttonholes - years ago we had to draw lines, measure, turn sew, turn , widen etc... now I just press a button and it's done! magic....

I gave our tutor a shirt I loved wearing but it was a tad too tight and she made up a pattern for me to us... This one fits well.

A new brewery/restaurant has opened nearby so we dropped in .....

on the walls were a bunch of the old hand mixers...

The building used to be full of German style clocks, it was a fabulous place to visit and they have kept the german clock theme...

... and there are cuckoo clocks for sale....

I made up another shirt from the pattern, it helps reinforce anything I learnt, this time in cotton floral.

Squares have been knitted and more scraps cut and tidied up ....

Righto, Gotto Go... need to get my glad-rags on.....

Today our Quilt club is celebrating 40 years with a lunch..... should be a fun occasion....

Have a lovely weekend .....xx

Hope you had a great lunch! Your shirts are wonderful Fiona. Interesting brewery/restaurant place. My comments just go straight to the blog not to my emails all of a sudden, so I have put moderator on, don't know how to fix that either.

Your blouses look like they will be nice and cool for the summer months. It’s nice they have kept the cuckoo clock theme at the new brewery. We’ve driven past there several times, but had never popped in. Enjoy your celebratory lunch.

Your new brewery looks like a fun place to visit - I hope the beer was good too! Great shirts, buttonholes are always a faff so glad you have a machine that does them at the touch of a button. xx

Blogger is having fun with all of us. It's always a shit-tuation to frustrate us whenever they do an update.
Anywho! Love your blouses. You inspired me to get back to sewing garments. I'm as a novelist to garments as you are but I will learn. Cool brewery. My parents had a weather clock like that. Oh! The memories! Love the last picture. YES! They are ideas, all over the place, haha. Enjoy! ;^)

I think some other bloggers are getting the no reply thingy going on too Fiona - blogger seems to have a mind of its own these days. Love the shirts. That old clock shop ... it wasn't in Montville by any chance was it??

Great finishes on the two shirts. They do look very comfortable. Hope Blogger sorts out for you. (Sunburnt Quilts - just in case.)
