That weekend disappeared....

Yesterday I bought some backing for the panel I received from Ingrid.... it's really quite yummy and if I wore and made dresses I would use this fabric

For my handwork lately I have been focussing on my Steady Thread SAL as I am way behind.  I think I am up to week 11 and should be at week 33.  There is no penalties of course and the pressure is self inflicted but I know that if I get too far behind I am likely to give up.  A free SAL shared by Clare of Steady Thread on facebook.

Lavender

Fushchia

Magnolia

I am like a dog with a bone with regards trying to become good friends with my Moxie

I worked on this tumbler quilt using a Rachelle Denneny online course I purchased

I usually like to use matching threads as mistakes show less but for the purposes of learning I didn't...

Then I learnt to go around appliques.... I am pretty happy with this... I used a monofilament thread for around the applique so you don't get contrast lines showing, then changed thread for the background and borders.

Fairly slow but I'm happy with the result....

Righto, Gotto Go, cup of tea then back to the machine...

Have a lovely week everyone.... stay safe

I love the sampler effect of your tumbler quilt. Practice makes perfect. I like how your black work has separate little sections. At least you can tick each of off the list.

Such lovely flowers you’re cross stitching.
You are doing so well on Moxie and looks like you were having fun.

So looking forward to seeing your quilting on the panel. That stitching SAL is gorgeous, and yes, we add our own pressure to these things! Enjoy it. Xxx

Lovely fabric and I really like your appliques, I´m not very good at the quilting, practice makes perfect, but then I hesitate to start. I´ve a hexagon quilt to do but can´t think how to do it, have to do a google xcx

What a great job outlining with the monopoly thread! I just did that for the first time and have many wobbles.

The blackwork is lovely Fiona, I love that the designs all represent something, a little more modern than the designs Mum has done in the past. Good on you being so determined with your Moxie - you're mastering it well!!! It is a big step from the Sw16, technique wise.
