This week I made leek and potato soup - I got lots of different ideas from people so trying to experiment each week. I made this a few years ago but forgot about it....
Hubz likes taking soup with him to heat up at lunch time at work too..... easy and warming...
Over the weekend I concentrated on working some more of the crochet blanket and managed quite a few more rows.... I'm still not even half way so I must remind myself not to get too sidetracked on other things....
love all these colours together
I did sneak in this postcard ….. another project I mustn't lose sight of....
I bought these handprinted and cut squares at a quilt show a couple of years ago. So often I just want a very light throw/quilt so I pulled these out on my design wall and have bundled them into rows to sew one of these days.....
Its a light open weave fabric - I have some white sheeting I will back it with.
.. and I have started another pair of socks! I have a few more balls of the same yarn and also want to practice a bit more before I can make some as gifts... My first pair is in use, holes, bumps, and all.... my feet don't seem to mind.
Righto, Gotto Go.... things to do ….
Love potato and leek, I made some on Monday but I added some bacon to appease the carnivore.
ReplyDeleteYour crochet is growing beautifully, you have a lovely mix of fabric and wooly crafts to keep you busy.
Those squares look interesting....plenty of soup recipes around.....keep trying different ones....I often just throw things in the pot and keep my fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteThe soup looks yummy! I should make some now that it is so nice and cold... Love your crochet blanket, and oh, a second pair of socks!! I need to get my act together and get back to mine! You're an inspiration! xx
ReplyDeleteSoup makes a great quick meal when it's colder...
ReplyDeletePretty colours in your blanket and socks...
Good to keep up with the Postcards.
Interesting squares to make a lightweight throw...
Good weather for soup at the moment! You are brave knitting socks.....something I still have to master, and your crochet is pretty. Probably keeps your lap warm while you are working on it, too.
ReplyDeleteBusy, busy, busy! I haven’t stitched a stitch this month, or sent you that soup recipe yet.....slacko, I am.
ReplyDeleteI was going to make potato & leek soup last night but then we were supposed to go to Costco for pizza. Neither happened. :) Love your crochet rug. Hugs, xx
ReplyDeleteYour soup looks very flash! Love the pink sock wool, such a great winter project.
ReplyDeleteYou know I love that little ship on the postcard! At least I hope it's a little ship so those waves are also small. And the colors on your crochet piece are beautiful. Looking forward to seeing the light throw with the handpainted fabrics come together. Are the lines black, or dark blue?
