Handwork has been my sanity lifeline for the last few weeks.... I just love that after we have eaten our evening meal we sit in front of the TV and I pick up my handwork.....
I have sewn down the binding for these next two zippy vinyl bags.....
… sewn to the back of course where there is no vinyl.....
… and attached the stitchery circle to the Dresden plate (which was already stitched down)
… and finished off the last Flowerville stitchery …. next ChooseDay I will sew the little plates ….
… and finally last night I did the last stitches of my second sock.....
I am ridiculously pleased with my first ever hand made socks... mistakes and all they will still be lovely and snug.
It's warmed up again here so I don't need them at the moment... but no doubt cold winter weather will come visiting again over the next couple of months...
Righto, Gotto Go..... I need to go and pull out some postcards to stitch tonight.....

I love handwork, too, and I’m ashamed to say I haven’t set myself up with any for quite some time. Your work is lovely. I especially like the Dresden/stitchery! Congratulations on making socks! I have tried, but have determined it’s just not my thing.

ReplyDeleteI agree Fiona...on those days when it's too busy to even sew one stitch, having something to pick up in the evenings is a real godsend. Those stolen moments have resulted in some good progress. I LOVE your socks - well done!!!
