This Friday was FNSI hosted by our gracious host Wendy
I had a day and a night and a bit into the Northern Hemisphere Friday... it's such fun having international friends that need company whilst sewing....
So... I have been getting up to all sorts of mischief.....
Chookyblue has a friend looking out for quilts to give to people in her town that were affected by sudden floods this year....
I didn't feel I had time to do up a whole quilt but I offerred to quilt one
Look at the beauty Chooky sent me to play with...
I love the mix of rich colours and the layout for the disappearing nine patch blocks
... this is my quilting plan...
.. and here is a block with the quilting done
the ends have lots of squares so I 'orange peeled' them all
... and did wiggly lines in the border
...it's a man quilt so I resisted doing feathers!!! ...
got to trim and bind so will show you the whole thing when that is done....
... for my real time Friday night I handstitched the green on these....
today is Mr 6's birthday... he is widget who gets to come over here quite often.. the only of my 7 grandies who lives nearby so he has to put up with a lot from me
I love this mischievous look on his latest school photo ....
I left wrapping his parcels late... so he has to make do with some Christmas wrapping paper
I doubt he will notice....
Righto, Gotto Go... I have a birthday lunch to attend....
