Translation... an online swap group, Friends Having Fun Swaps hosted by Peg and Shez recently did a swap with the theme of English Paper Piecing....
It's a fun group and everyone makes such different items... and such amazing ones too......
My partner was my friend Michelle and this is what I made her....
This sewing companion is from Anni Downs book "The Simple Life".... I changed her little blocks to hexagons for the base....
I just think that bunny and saying is just perfect and sweet....
... hexagons all the way round the back....
I know Michelle likes French General colours
... inside there is plenty of room for pins and needles....
and extra pockets for those things we need to take with us....
... and they all button up nicely...
I think it is a well thought out pattern ...
I also made a book mark... this is from a different Anni Downs book....
I love gentle fabric in my precious books....
.. of course one has to put little silly things like bunnies and important things like chocs in too!!!
Thanks Peg and Shez for hosting this swap, thanks Michelle for loving what I sent you.....
... meantime I have sewn another of Michelle's alphabet bears....
H is for Hive, and Honey .. and Heart
Righto, Gotto Go...thinking cap on.. the next swap is a ruler cover but I have a pincushion to make before that.....
Such lovely projects Fiona!
