A lovely mini quilt.....

Marina is a friend I met through blogging and have been lucky enough to catch up with her in real life too

Marina does really lovely work and has given me so much support and help over the years - at the moment her and her Mum are doing some wonderful needleturn applique

Anway, she also does lovely mini quilts and I was so happy when she asked if I would play with one and do the quilting for her

I haven't done a quilt like this before so it was a lot of fun playing with the different shapes but also being away not to spoil the quilt by detracting from the piecing

Each border/section was done a bit differently....

I've put a couple of pictures of the back as the quilting shows up more there....

Quite dense but not enough to turn the mini quilt into cardboard....

Thanks Marina, it was so fun to play with your mini quilt....

(and thanks for letting me show off your quilt on my blog ..xx)

... for hand sewing I have D for Dance...

Righto, Gotto Go..... Hubz has taken the day off to clean up in the yard... I should do some supervising.....

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend

  4. Beautiful work Fiona, love your quilting designs and really love the mini quilt. I do find that the more I quilt my mini's the better they hang...but if I overquilt them then sometimes I pull them out of alignment, its a tricky balancing act.
