Thank you Cheryll, always fun to sew with you and others....
I had a few appointments during the day.... eye tests, flu shots .... blah blah blah and they always take longer than I expected.
However, a start was made on another quilt using Terra Australis fabrics, this one is a Chandalier quilt - another free pattern and great for scraps I think.
In the evening I finished off another Field Journal embroidery... this time a snail, not my favourite find in a garden but I do like how he worked out in stitches.
Cold and wet and dark, we are hoping it will be dry enough to go and watch the big Widget play footy. But first coffee and a visit HERE to see what others have done.
I agree, the snail is waaaay more cute than any that show up in my garden.
ReplyDeleteWe had our flu shots yesterday too.....must have been the day for it! I haven't seen the chandalier quilt done in black, it looks good. I'm not fond of snails either but yours is cute, well....cute for a snail.
ReplyDeleteThat snail looks awesome Fiona. Not my favourite find either but you have really bought him to life. We've had rain all week but now today the sun is out & the washing is on the line!
ReplyDeleteThat's going to be a nice quilt.....
ReplyDeleteHi Fiona wow your embroidered snail is awesome ,you do such beautiful work my friend 💕🤍💕
ReplyDeleteThat's a great pattern. Happy sewing and good luck with the footy this arvo.
ReplyDeleteI don't like snails either but this one is super cute. Well done. ;^)
ReplyDeleteAnother great freebie pattern to use up your stash.
ReplyDeleteI agree that snails 🐌 🐌 in the garden are awful but your stitched one is cute…
The snail is very cute. The blocks look lovely. Hugs, xx
ReplyDeleteNice new quilt design and I love your little snail! Snails have such interesting shells. xx
ReplyDeleteI do love that snail - such lovely stitching - better in a quilt than in the garden, that is for sure.
ReplyDeleteThat snail has come out sooooo well! I’ll have to come back for a longer visit to check out the rest of the garden journal - sounds interesting
ReplyDeleteHugs sharm
I would even let that snail live in my garden.....very cute. Good progress on the new quilt.
ReplyDeleteYour snail is gorgeous... & it's always lovely having you over for FNwF...xox
ReplyDeleteGosh that snail has a very pretty shell...
ReplyDeleteYou'll be like a well tuned car now lol! Love your snail! Don't like them eating my plants but always like them in pictures or stitching. Freezing here today!
ReplyDeleteOh that snail is perfect! Every garden has one ... or two ... or more! Ha!
ReplyDeleteYou’ll have a good excuse to go fabric shopping after using so much of your existing stash lately. Chandeliers should look so different to puzzle box with the dark background.
