It feels like the last 10 days just disappeared.... but they were fun...
Lovely Easter here with noisy boys and lots of chocolate eggs.... I needed a few days after to recover from the miseries at an empty house.... I don't think one ever gets used to the feeling of family leaving...
I have done a couple more dishcloths as my in the car knitting
Solace was found in the sewing room.... practicing for a project with friends .... foundation paper piecing....
... and while the paper piecing was in my head I did some of my elephant blocks.... I am enjoying these and need to have a quiet morning or 3 to prepare a bunch more...
Hubz and I decided to try cooking up our own Pastrami using corned beef..... it was pretty good and made a wonderful Pastrami sandwich.... easy recipe but I'm not sure if it tastes how it really should. Anybody do their own?
One of the benefits of Easter Hunt at our house was little finds that were missed when we were watering the pots!!! haha
The last few evenings I have been working on this block for Civil War Bride.... a few of the leaves go over to the next block so they are not fully stitched down...
I started my baby giraffe's..... I think it will be pretty cute and I am happy with the light grey dot background
Righto, Gotto Go, I still have a special Easter biscuit I am finding it hard to actually eat since it is so cute and pretty!
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.... it's another long weekend here in Australia as we remember our Anzac's on Monday.... xx

Beautiful blocks Fiona, bonus find when watering!! It takes a while to get used to the empty house doesn't it. Love the giraffe.
ReplyDeleteBlink and the time just goes. Love the colourway of your dishcloths and your block too. Lovely to spend time with family, as you say it does feel empty when they go xcx
ReplyDeleteIt's so good that you were able to have a fabulous time wit your family and it would certainly have taken a bit to get used to the quiet household again. What wonderful memories you will all have. A fun find while watering! Getting back into your handwork would have been hard but you seem to have had a fairly productive time. The Giraffe is a sweetie and I love your CB blocks.
