Thanks Cheryll for hosting FNWF ..... I do seem to focus more when I know we are sewing together...
I kindof had a FWD... (Friday Whole Day) and got through some of my School Girl Sampler blocks
The blocks are to finish at 4"....
then I put together a group, (some of which had been done before,) with their sashing and cornerstones
Last night I hand sewed. I am using a flecked fabric but the tracings are not easy to see at night.... it is going slow but I particularly wanted that fabric for this project.
Today I want to continue with Schoolgirl Sampler .... a couple more blocks are cut and waiting to be sewn....
Have a lovely weekend.....xx
Wonderful quilting, you do get so much done, I need to get going on more myself.
ReplyDeleteLove the crabapple stitchery on the previous post.
Debbie
You are making great progress with the sampler quilt.
ReplyDeleteYou are managing to get through quite a few blocks.
ReplyDeleteI am really surprised at how the blocks appear in the big group. When they are separate, certain colours stand out or do not seem to match. But when they go into the group as a whole they work really well and blend beautifully. They really do need to be together to get th e right picture. Love the way it is turning out.
I love your blocks. It's going to be a great quilt.
ReplyDeleteYour schoolgirls blocks look great with their sashing. xx
ReplyDeleteYour Tilda sampler is looking good! Sometimes individual blocks don't quite do it for you, but they all look great together.
ReplyDeleteLove the blocks & how your quilt is looking . Hugs, xx
ReplyDeletelove how you are alternating the blocks with ones with white in them...it's a great effect.
ReplyDeleteThe Schoolgirl Sampler blocks look great after to put them together with its sashings...

ReplyDeleteLove all your Tilda blocks Fiona - some of those fabrics look to be from some of the older collections. I really loved the older ones & wish they would re-release some of them. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh, I adore that navy blue with the large floral! It reminds me of a bridesmaid dress I wore in the 1990's :)
ReplyDeleteYour Schoolgirl Sampler blocks are lovely in the Tilda scraps - and look good all joined and sashed. I hope you got some more sewing time over the weekend to continue on.
ReplyDeleteLots of good projects going on under your needle. I also like to have a block or two cut so that when I get a minute I can sit down and start sewing right away!
