I had a lovely break doing lots of my own sewing... whilst trying to have a bit of tidy up and get myself 'organised' for the next year....
Mostly my tidying up created a mess.....
Part of my 'babies' bin sorting has ended up as these three small quilts using different parts of a little panel in the centre….
They are now pinned and in the quilting queue.....
Then I worked on chopping up the towelling in the box... with some fabrics and cut out a bunch of bibs......
The minky was teamed up with some mesh.....
Different fabrics chopped into 5" squares and partnered with some 4 patch blocks....
Minky has become dusters! Anybody would think I am a clean freak!! something in the minky really catches up dust so well though and it was a piece too long and narrow for anything else, and I hate throwing good fabric out....
I now have a plan for my "I Spy" fabrics... and chopping into 3 1/2" square pictures has begun.... will be an ongoing project as I don't have a big range.... nice to have something to keep little pictures for though.....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Having things set out and ready has meant any spare few minutes I can do a few seams.....
These 6 small quilt tops are now together.....
quite a nice way to use some pretty baby fabrics.....
…. now they are in piles with their backings, wadding and binding....
Righto, Gotto Go......… job, job....
It always feels gOOd to tidy up...& you got a few blankets made as well.
