Hi Karen P, hope you are reading this..... thank you for your comment regarding the postcards (you are no-reply so I couldn't answer the email). The pattern is from a book "Living the Dream" by Leanne Beasley. This one is called Romancing the Road Trip.... there is a blog with more pictures of the quilt and joining the stitch-a-long HERE if you are interested.....
This week I finished stitching Block 7 - Gypsy Caravan of Flowerville
… so on ChooseDay I made the Dresden circle to go behind it....
I also made this months block for Garden Sunshine.... hosted by Quilt Doodle Doodles …. a lovely basket.... this block is 12" and made a lovely change from all my little ones I have been making
For the Quirky Little Quilts stitchalong 4 little birds in the air blocks....
this is where I am at for the blocks in this quilt.... 4 more next week then time to join them together....
I finished sewing up my One Block Wonders too.... I had done quite a lot extra over the weeks and finally got to finish up the fabric that I had put aside for it...
I have 220 blocks..... the sewalong has quite a lot more but I think I will leave mine at this and make as big a one I can from them....
I have packed all the blocks in a bag with a lavender bird.... waiting for another day....
My board has been quite empty of late so I was happy to display the latest work before packing bits away....
I have taken the last block of my sewing mice to hand stitch at night... it is a bigger block than the others with more detail (a quilting bee)….. all in back stitch with the odd French knot....
In August last year I took some African Violet leaves to root in water.....
My first of 8 new plants has it's first flowers. Hubz is the gardener in this house so I am a bit proud of myself for growing these.....
There aren't any buds on the other plants but they look healthy enough
Righto, Gotto Go …… my teacup is empty and I better get back to work.....
Love that gypsy caravan - gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteLove your Temecula blocks, I think I am game to join in and make the mini sampler at this late stage, after seeing your pretty blocks. I grow African violets too and very pleased there are more flowering at the moment. I have a very sweet pottery pot to grew new ones in, that you can water from the base, which makes it easy for those of use who are not green thumbs!
