Thank you Wendy for hosting FNSI last night.... I took out Flowerville to work on.....
Here it is at the start....
… and this is how I ended the evening.... (I'm a slow stitcher… this was a few hours work)
… well not quite as I wanted to quickly finish this postcard.... I just had one long side of border to stitch....
This is my first stitchery for this years No Fuss Stitchalong
During the week I take 'smoko' breaks from my quilting work and usually spend it sewing for me....
I had some help from my animal friends to glue down ric-rac onto my stitchery....
…. and another day I sewed it all together.....
… my new peg bag/apron....
Made with a dishtowel folded up and then added on the black webbing....
This is the sad bag it is replacing.....
…. it wasn't always sad... I found a picture of it when it was brand new and happy....
Righto, Gotto Go..... I want to arrange my Granny Squares this weekend.... so that I can have them in nice piles to add sashing next week....
… but first I will be off HERE to see what the other FNSI'ers got up to....
Lucky to have those cute little animal friends to help.

The new Peg Apron is pretty and I think the old Peg Bag deserves to be retired......
Great job on the new peg bag apron.......you will be the smartest person at the clothesline! Very cute little clips, where did you get them? Your Friday night stitching is very pretty and it coming along nicely, even if not quite as speedily as you had hoped.

What cute little animal pegs, whilst your old peg bag certainly had seen some service, your new one looks really smart and I love the stitchery. I also love the varigated colours on your Flowerville. Hope you got the chance to arrange your granny squares xcx

ReplyDeleteYour peg bag is lovely and very clever ... your old one deserves a rest in the shade.
First of all - oh my goodness - when you showed your old peg bag the other day, I thought it was a vintage styled one - wouldn't have believed that it was that colourful! Well done on the new one - it's lovely. Good stitching done too.....those postcard blocks are cute and I love your FLowerville :-)

Wow - that sad bag had really changed over the years. I guess I stitch slow too, it would take me several hours to complete the same amount. Love the granny square quilt - it's just perfect.
