happy mail, another ufo

This week my special order of  Michelle's new and first book arrived.....

I think she is so clever to do a book (self published) and the designs are just lovely..  all the projects were made and quilted by her... they are gorgeous

I also ordered some buttons from Yvonne... they are perfectly sweet and amazing detail

.... this is a little brooch I got too.... Santa is just under 1 1/2" so that detail is tiny

When I sewed the snowball blocks for my 'SweetPea' quilt I double sewed the squares and cut through the middle making mini HST's .... these all got pressed and trimmed this week

(there is something sadistically satisfying about a pile of skinny trimmings)

(the HST's squares are 1 1/2")

.... and now they have been packed in a box...

... officially a new UFO has gone into my cupboard ...

Righto, Gotto Go... I'm going to do a bit of stitchery on a different UFO.....
