A Designer Bag.....

Sooooo.... I was going to start on that pile of ironing..... and then ... shock and horror... I noticed this....

a big tear in the plastic covering...

Hubz got me one of these new flash slim line light boxes at Christmas and I love it lots

... so out came the design book.....

and here is my new light box bag.... with velcro closure (I know white velcro would have been nicer but I only had black to hand... and it works just fine)

I think this constitutes me being a designer now...

I did make up my ruler bag too!

.. I even added a handle so it's easy to carry when I go places (found that in my box of ribbons and things) .....

...this is lovely fabric with Australian flowers that I have had for ages and didn't have any plan for... there was just enough for this project

... I have a separate little bag for the cord although that can fit inside fine ... I didn't think of putting an extra pocket but that would be good in the design...

meanwhile in my garden this bush is flowering amazingly ... the colour of the flowers is more magenta/red/maroon and the birds love it... I think it is of the eremophila family

I am lucky to live in a small rural town and just 5 minutes from my house we have scenes like this... the cows are so curious, the grass is so dry, the sky is so blue .....

Righto, Gotto Go... off to add 'designer' to my CV..... and I should do the ironing.....

  2. You didn't really want to do that ironing did you? Great storage for the light box.
Just catching up on some blog reading. You have been busy as always, with time left over for socialising.

  4. very nifty keeper for your light pad!
I don't think designers should have to do their own ironing at all.

  5. Play with fabric vs. ironing...hmmmmm, let's see.......you obviously made the right choice. What a clever idea, and what a cute light box. Handy to take when you're off with the girls! Well done! Now that you're a designer, don't let it go to your head, lol! XO

  9. It is indeed an eremophila......apparently birds are attracted to the yellow ones, insects to the pink/red ones. Excellent idea for your light box, and I love the fabric!

  12. Love the bag. The separate bag for the cord is a better idea than a pocket, which would put pressure on the light box. Hang the little bag with a loop on the larger bag's handle? 😍
