Happy sheep ......

Isn't this the happiest little sheep you ever did see?

This is an Annie Down's stitchery called Summer Frolic and found in an old Australian Country Threads magazine (I don't know which one since I enthusiastically tore lots of my patterns out to put in folders!!!)

(thanks Jeanette for showing me this one...... love it...I loved this movie and this caption is great)

The heatwave is over... the plants are happier though we need rain

I just love this bromeliad flower.. so symetrical...

the birds are happier.... so many rainbow lorrikeets the last few mornings... I love that most of them are in pairs and a bunch of youngsters.. the noise is pretty intensive as they squabble quite a lot .

.... the couples mostly sit in pairs and do a lot of smooching.. the youngsters still fly around a bit silly and often hit my window... so I have several frights before my second cup of coffee!

Tomorrow night is

I'm thinking of quiche .... with a gin and tonic......

if you'd like to join in sign ups are HERE

Righto, Gotto Go...I want to find the threads to do some more of the happy sheep stitchery

  7. A very cheerful sheep......or should that be "shearful sheep"? (sorry about that......*grin) We are expecting hot temps late next week again, not looking forward to it.

  18. Yes, a very happy sheep - obviously not from the drought areas I think. Love your bromeliad. I hope to "see" you tonight - now that I know it is Friday. I lost a day somewhere, I thought it was Thursday today. I think that is called holiday mode isnt it?

  22. Your sheep made me smile , Fiona. Georgeous birds- I live near a lake and the cockies and galahs are very noisy at present; I love hearing them.
