such a fun day .....

I was so fortunate to be able to attend "Stitchers Dream Day Out" hosted by Quilters Angel yesterday.....  Marion and Steph and their wonderful helpers put on a fabulous day of fun, stitching and learning.....

Designers who helped us during the day were Gail Pan, Natalie Bird and Nikki Tervo... all so helpful, full of useful tips and great fun.....

I did get to take a few pictures.......

This is what we were greeted with when we arrived .......

.... and I did do some work.... (my new needlecase from Katherine was put to work......)

we each were provide the kit for one project... this is the project I started.... (a stitching wallet which is opened out)

... and I met Narelle from Pins and Whiskers... so fun to finally meet.... Narelle hosts One Christmas Item a Month and we have been bloggy friends for a couple of years now so it was wonderful to catch up....

I took my lovely wallhanging gift I received from Anthea at Hibiscus Stitches for show and tell... and of course Gail (the designer)  was so obliging to have her picture taken with it.....

I won a prize for show and tell.... so I'll be sending this to you Anthea.....

of course there were bags on our tables.....

filled with all sorts of goodies.....

there was a shop and by mistake some things jumped into my bag so I could make some of the other lovely projects....

The designers each make two projects (except for Nikki who made double!!!) specifically for the weekend and participants each receive a pattern for each of the projects and the fabric and preprinted picture for one of the projects to work on during the day (if there is time in between chatting, shopping, show and tell, eating.... etc) and then throughout the day there are mini workshops and guidance by the designers.....

It was a lovely day and so well worth it....

Righto.... Gotto Go... a clock to sew.....
