I just loved doing the SAL with the others in the group where we have each been making our version of My Favourite Things designed by Anni Downs
I finished my top a while ago.....
I finished my top a while ago.....
I had a pile of leftover fabrics.... and I really LOOOOOOVVVEEE using my scraps....
..... so I've made the backing.....
... and there is still plenty of green for the binding ....
.....and pink floral but that will have to be another project....
... there were some 2" pieces light backing strips left.... they looked very forlorn... and it is quality fabric....
.... stitch, slice, stitch....
and I have a fat quarter of unique fabric....
...... it's probably quite valuable... being one of a kind.....
Righto, Gotto Go.... quilt to pin......
OMG Fiona this is how I want to do my GJ back!!!!! I just have to try and work it all out as I have not done it before....
ReplyDeleteLove it and love the effect of the light showing the seams!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing Fiona. The back could be a quilt on it's own. And think of all the money you've saved on backing.
ReplyDeleteWow your backing looks fabulous. I agree with Susan could be another quilt on it's own. Hugs,
ReplyDeleteI love that quilt and I love how you did the back. I really like the look of pieced backs, but I get lazy and end up doing one or two pieces for the back.

Hello Fiona,
ReplyDeleteOh there is so much work here, I actually love the backing and was thinking that would make a lovely quilt in itself. Maybe this quilt could be shared as I would love to borrow it too. Great to see the little squares being used up.
Happy pinning.
