After lots of sneaky peaks on my blog I can now show you the Spring Swap as it has arrived at Melody's house...
It is based on a pattern from Material Obsession called Holiday Morning by Kathy Doughty.
I adapted it slightly and used felt....
I love all the fat little birds
swirly quilting to make it look like the spring winds......
a few buttons to add dimension
The Season Swap is hosted by Cheryl.... in a couple of months we will be finding Summer Swap Partners..... I'm already looking forward to it...
Melody and I swapped with each other and I love my special uniquely designed Spring Table topper
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the meantime I am still playing with my wool - this time adding it with chenille
.... is this effective recycling?.........
..... or is it upcycling?......
.... or perhaps I am simply using vintage fabrics in my work?......
This is a design by Toni Alexander from This Girl Wears Red Boots
it's really rather fun
The spring wall hanging is lovely, using felt gives it a really tactile quality, I want to touch it!!! The dogs are gorgous, very very cute...call it what you like, if you didnt have to spend much it makes the quilt more precious I think. Happy quilting Sue
