This week I have a quilt on the frame.......
Lots of smaller detail quilting and colour changes .... going slow
There is a deadline so I have been focussing most of my time on it....
I went in to the city and had an extra 15 minutes to spare so dropped in to an op shop..... I found this bag for $4 - I really got it for the fun factor!
I have pulled out the plain framed hexagons to make up for Field Journal - the pile to be stitched is slowly diminishing.... I did a couple for FNWF - always fun sewing with company (even cyber company)
That button bag is very cute Fiona .. gosh imagine sewing all those little buttons on!! Would send me cross eyed!
ReplyDeleteI would have had trouble leaving that fun bag behind too, Fiona!
ReplyDeleteYou are quilting your elephant quilt!! Oh! Can't wait to see it done but take your time and do what needs to be done. I can wait. I have coffee aplenty, lol. Good call on the bag. I would have snatch that one too. Is it lined? Enjoy! ;^)
ReplyDeleteLove the bag...can you imagine making it from scratch????
ReplyDeleteoooh...an elephant...have you shown that before?? looking forward to seeing it.
The bag is super cute and very unique. Love your quilt. (My comments are showing as No Reply but I can't figure out how to fix. So, I apologize and hope it doesn't cause you any inconvenience.)
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is really unique and reminds me of the Appalachian style quilts. That purse is definitely unique and a fun idea for sewing notions. I like how you bordered the hexagons, really sets them off beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThat is a unique bag Fiona! Enjoy quilting your elephant. Great knitting, your hexies look good too.
ReplyDeleteOh I remember you making the elephant quilt, can’t wait to see you work your magic on it.
ReplyDeleteThat is a fun bag but I’d go crazy making it.
You’re getting there slowly with the plain FJ hexies and a nice pile of KOGO blocks.
Looks like an interesting quilting project. What a quirky bag, great find.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fun piece to quilt. Great bag! xx
ReplyDeleteYour quilt at the top is so beautiful... I love this style... I hope you enjoy working on it... wonderful :-))) I very like it.
ReplyDeleteThe button bag you purchased is a blast - well done. Women have to treat themselves to something every now and then :-))
Kind regards to you from Viola
That will certainly be a challenge to quilt. I can see why you are going slow. A nice pile of squares knitted up in front of tv each night.
