I love how this Chandelier quilt has turned out...
I am still using up my Terra Australis fabrics ....
The Chandalier quilt is a free pattern from Lella Boutique found HERE. I have already started another one - its very versatile for ranges or scraps. I am using scraps from ranges!
Keeping on going with Field Journal embroideries....
... and I finished off this Civil War Bride block this week....
This last week has been busy and social and I've hardly been home, so today I hope to get some quilting (friends quilt) done, and prep work for hand sewing this next week. I've taken out some Christmas quilts to try and make the home a little bit festive and I will dig out the box of gorgeous hand made ornies I have.
Hope you have a lovely weekend...
Righto, Gotto Go.... off to search for my box of handmade ornaments....

ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt. The CWB block is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt looks great Fiona, it's a good scrap buster and have seen it done for RSC too. Your applique block is lovely and appropriate for the time of year. xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt. Love how you have quilted it.
ReplyDeleteThe field journal blocks are so pretty.
Great job on the quilt, Fiona! Pretty embroidery....and the applique is lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work with the quilting on Chandelier!! the work in the grey background is stunning.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous little embroidery, too.
And the civil war block is just perfect. Love those big birds!!!!
Wonderful Chandelier! The prints really pop against the dark background. And look at all the fancy quilting. Awesome work there. Bravo! The Field Journal piece reminds me of the type of embroidery my mother used to do. It's lovely. The CWB block is lovely too. Are those emus? We don't have those on this side of the ocean. I wonder what they are supposed to represent. Turkeys? Not much of a tail there, but whatever, you did a great job with the applique. Love the fabric you used for their legs. Kudos! Have fun decorating for the holidays. ;^)
ReplyDeleteI love how this Chandelier quilt has turned out too. Gorgeous. Nice work on your CWB block and another pretty stitchery.
ReplyDeleteThat quilt looks stunning Fiona ... I shall tell my friend about that free pattern as I am sure she would be interested.
ReplyDeleteI have seen many versions of the chandelier quilt, and they have all been so beautiful. Yours is too. I like the beautiful colors you chose with the dark background and the quilting is exquisite.
ReplyDeleteSuch a stunning quilt! The backing is perfect for it. Love your quilting. Another lovely embroidery and your applique is beautiful. You say you have been busy elsewhere but you have achieved so much! Well done. Can you send some of your energy my way please.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt and fun fabrics to use, in it. I love your civil war block, I do miss doing appliqué and hoping I can get more quilts together and then work on quilting, while camping.
