This Field Journal stitchery is now completed. Rather a sweet dainty one
A few years ago I joined in with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.... I am going to try and keep going this year and use my new Crazier Eights rulers. I bought a pattern book too (not cheap and got soaked in the wet post ride so is a mess but still usable) Anyway these fish is one of the patterns so I am going to make them up and use my lighter blues for background water.
I had a bit of a spell sewing smaller pieces and cutting lots of the bits I need for the 'water'.... and have 2 fish ready. A lot of my scraps are small pieces so some of these are joined.
A few online friends are making PopStar together (free pattern from Fat Quarter shop) and these are my four January blocks....
As you can see with all the star points I am gathering rather a lot of HST's..... another collection happening!
Love your new project with little bits of fabric. It intrigues me how it will all come together. Anticipation is so much fun! Love your PopStar blocks too but the show stopper is your CWB block. Wow! I don't recall seeing a block with a flowerpot on a table with a tablecloth. So beautiful. Have a great day! ;^)
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy. All lovely projects. Those fish look interesting. Hugs, xx
ReplyDeleteI do like your RSC ideas, they will be some very pretty quilts and sewing scarps together to make the pieces is the very essence of the RSC.
ReplyDeleteNice "catch of the day" there. Your CWB block is just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI still have rulers that I bought for specific projects and never got to use them. Love all the projects you are working on. Lots of wonky piecing but maybe I would be better on those since I cannot do a straight line, lol.
