I do love my handmade Christmas ornies and gifties
Michelle made both this ornie and the card - look at those tiny stitches in the plum pudding!
What a great idea from Maria sending a book mark.... the corner fits on the pages.... love it
One of the popular fund raisers here is a meat tray at a Pub... we went to a pub for lunch on Sunday and I got the winning ticket.... dinners for a week! Wonderful. (I felt I deserved it after paying for a new water heating system!!)
We have had the sausages and the chicken so far... both delicious and we will be going to the Paddock for more!
My Moxie longarm does not come with bells and whistles.... and the wadding which 'floats was dragging on the ground on bigger quilts.....
So off to my sewing machine I went with some old lace curtains!
Hubz even found the old kiddie safe cupboard door latches to recycle and use... so I can attach and detach as I need to....
... and here is a year's worth of flower beds .... I did a simple low hedge border
the patterns for one bed a week were generously provided free by Clare from The Steady Thread (there were 3 other layouts to choose from) and I used variegated thread from Cottage Garden Threads.
I am going to do a thin border of lime green and then add the upholstery weight fabric to make this into a cushion....
Blackwork was the technique I chose to learn this last year and joined in with a few Brisbane friends online to cheer one another along.... we are also doing the 'sweets' together but taking a short break to cope with the business of December....
Righto, Gotto Go... that quilt that is loaded on the Moxie is waiting for attention - at least the wadding is happy swinging in its hammock!
