Lots of people seem to be having problems with blogger ... I was rather pleased with myself that I miss a lot of these!
Well, of course this week my comments didn't get sent to me by email.... which I like them too...
I had this before and I just went and cancelled my email and saved and did it again... for some reason I just couldn't open that section....
This is how I fixed it.... (in case any others are having this issue)
Into your blog.... and go to Design
Choose Settings....
An invitation will come to your email... you need to accept this....
Then do a test comment to make sure it has come to you.....
I hope this works for you....
In this process I also learnt how to screenshot on my laptop... and draw on my pictures with wobbly arrows!
This little embroidery was done this week using 'SmokeBush' colour. Stemstitch, back stitch and pistol stitch....
Tomorrow I am retreating with the Brisbane girls..... so today I am sorting and organising projects to take with me.... They always do a small 'secret' project and we get a list of what we need to take. I find it quite a challenge to choose fabric without knowing what it will be...
This is what I will use....
Retreat time also means visiting the local quilt stores - last year I purchased this vinyl fabric.... of course it has just sat around so I have prepared it to make a little bag.
Then I have a good reason to replenish supplies when we go again!!!
I have a couple of quilt 'kits' cut and prepared for an event like this... quilts that I have wanted to make but just not got round to it....
test
ReplyDeleteOOOhhh lucky you...looks like we'll be locked out of our next retreat...
ReplyDeleteEnJoY your time with friends...xox
Well, lets hope you get this comment! I am having the same problem, trouble is, every time I go into settings on blogger it seems to be different! And I cant find where to go at the moment to update my profile. However, I am going to try your method and see if it works. Have fun on retreat, lucky you. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Fiona......I'll keep it in mind! Your embroidery is very pretty.....have fun at your retreat and stitch up a storm.
ReplyDeletehave a lovely time
ReplyDeleteI hope this comment comes through loud and clear....!! Typical blogger, changing things when we don't ask for it. Lovely stitchery :-) Lots of goodness for you to sew while on retreat - have a wonderful weekend...you're obviously not in lockdown in Queensland at the moment!!
ReplyDeleteWhy do they muck around with what is working.....grrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Enjoy your retreat and I look forward to seeing what the secret project is.
ReplyDeleteLucky you, going on retreat.
ReplyDeleteBlogger can be a nuisance at times.
The comments on my before-last post didn't go to my emails and I had to use the same loophole to get them again. I just couldn't add my email to the comment notice section. Blogger is really getting to be a major pain.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the retreat. Can't wait to see all the pictures I know you will take of the gang and the projects. Take care. ;^)
Hope you fixed your problem.
ReplyDeletePretty stitching ….
Have a great time at retreat and stay safe….
Go you! You”lol be turning into a Geek. I’ll have to have a look at my settings. Enjoy your retreat....you lucky thing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, I am a it scared to go and look in case I accidentally change something!!! 😱 lovely stitched flower. Have a great time in retreat. ours for next week is cancelled, maybe we can go to the October one, who knows.
ReplyDeleteI had this very same thing happen about a month ago Fiona ... I am ashamed to say it took me AAAAGES to figure it all out. Blogger have changed so much. You are a whizz to figure it out so quickly. I hope you have a wonderful time at Retreat - I am envious in the nicest possible way - would love to get together with my crafty friends. xx
ReplyDeleteWell done sorting out all the technical issues. I am just pleased to have someone do it all for me.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time at your retreat.
You are so lucky to be able to go away with the girls, we are still in lockdown and had to cancel our weekend away. I’m sure we will make up for it when we do get away. Hope you get to use some of the material you are taking with you. Enjoy 😀
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your retreat time. Thanks for the heads up on the issue...hope it's sorted for you now. Lovely stitchery xx
ReplyDeleteWe're never to old to learn something new :)
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful time at retreat xx
I loved retreats. Shopping on the way was part of the fun and I always came home with lots of new patterns and fabric. Those days are long gone now and most of my local patchwork shops have gone. I think I had that blog issue which was remedied just as you have shown thanks to the blogger community. Enjoy your time at the retreat and being able to go further than 5kms lol.
ReplyDeleteLook at you bring all technical.... Well-done.....
ReplyDeleteOh a retreat.....I know your all having a great time......
Thank you for this post, Julie shared it with me as like you I did a near gloat that I wasn't having these comment/email problems....then wham...it happened to me! Blogger...our friend AND enemy!
