July's block for Wish You Well is done....
and I have added it to the last 2 months.....
where we are up to so far.... I love the combination of embroidery, applique, a bit of lace and piecing....
I have started to join my crochet squares together.... a friend showed me this way... a slip stitch in between the groups of trebles.. then 3 chain.. then slip stitch again... goes nice and quick and not too bulky....
My little hexagon flowers are all together now and I have started stitching them on to the background fabric..... but changed to embroidery so it is going slow!!!
This week I took out one of my own quilts from the queue and did the quilting... it is my One Block Wednesday and I am doing the same design throughout ... so sortof custom sortof all over...
This week I got a lovely bunch of flowers as a thank you for a quilt done last year.... a lovely surprise and they are so pretty... lasting well too
They arrived by post, the postie that delivers here is always wonderful about hiding my parcels behind the pot....
as we are unfenced and face the road it's lovely that they can't be seen
I have a son in Melbourne, which is now a mandatory face mask wearing area.... so guess what I am going to be trying out today.... any tips or patterns will be gratefully received....
Not sure if my machine can cope with such an article!!! haha
Righto, Gotto Go... off to search the internet for some suitable mask patterns... lucky there seems to be loads out there

Ooooh, I just love the quilt, it’s coming along so nicely! I love the colors you’re using and like you, love the combination of different pretty techniques... I need to start making masks too...it’s not mandatory here in our area yet, but advised... I’m also hunting down patterns! There are so many, it’s a bit overwhelming... xx
Wish you Well is looking gorgeous. I like the way you have joined your crocheted squares together. Pretty hexies.
That is such a pretty quilt, Fiona! Must try that way of joining crochet, it makes a very neat join. Your flowers are lovely, very cheery, what a nice thing to do!
The projects are beautiful.
As for mask patterns, I'm a nurse and I've had good luck with the Olson mask pattern, but the templates run a little small, I add 1/4 to 1/2in to the pattern for larger faces. I don't have the address for it, sorry.
For a different style, the Valami mask is nice https://amisimms.com/2020/04/24/the-valami-a-better-fitting-face-mask/
I love the mixture of embroidery and lace on the quilt too. It's looking lovely as it's coming together

Love the combination of your " Wish you Well " Quilt top....
Fabulous group of hexies...
Looks like a great way to crochet your squares together.
The flowers are a beautiful thoughtful gift.
Hope you found a good pattern for those masks.
Your beautiful quilt is coming along well, your hexies are very cute, always good to find a different way to join the crochet squares together. Great to see One Block Wednesday under the quilting needle. The flowers colours are a pretty collection and lovely thought, you have a great postie there. Good luck with the mask making.
Your quilt is looking so pretty Fiona & I love the combination of all those things too - very beautiful! Love those hexies too. Thats great that your postie knows to hide those beautiful flowers for you. Happy mask making.
Oh my that is just gorgeous! The flower hexies are so pretty. Well done on getting one of yours under the quilting needle...beautiful flowers and so cheery. Thinking all the best for your Melbourne family hugs xx
Your Gail Pan quilt really is gorgeous. I’m glad you are actually getting to quilt one of your own quilts. I love how you have fussy cut your hexy flowers.
I made some masks that I am going to put on my blog tomorrow. The easiest ones with ties was on Missouri Star quilters tutorial on You tube. Elastic doesn't fit me properly. I love how your I Stitch BOM blocks have come along so nicely. I am about to stitch March's but haven't done any piecing yet. Not sure if I will add all the circles, maybe just here and there. Your quilt looks beautiful and I look forward to seeing it when the quilting is done.
Your blocks are growing so well and looking great.
That method of joining the crochet squares looks good. Will keep that in mind for the future.
The hexagon flowers look lovely just being there in a pile!
And it is good to see you quilting one of your own.
Good luck with the masks. I am still trying to find a pattern I like.
