Off to the coast......
Long beach walks....
Exotic meals out....
A little bit of stitching.....
DD and widget invited us to join their weekend away at a unit in Broadbeach... a city by the beach... easy walking distance to food joints and 5 minutes walk to the beach so just park and relax....
Last Tuesday a friend came over with a new pattern and some wool fabric..... I took out an old blanket and we each made some slippers....
Not the greatest fit and they are not so good for walking around, but lovely and snug while I am just sitting in front of the TV...
Righto, Gotto Go... there is always a large pile of washing after a weekend away!!!!
Still not sure if comments is sorted or not - apologies if I am not answering as it means they aren't coming through on email.... trying something else .... sigh
Looks like a lovely weekend! :0)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great weekend away. Nothing better than being near the water. The slippers look great. Pretty stitchery.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a lovely time away. Those booties look snuggly.
ReplyDeleteOh it looks so wonderful. Must say, I'm a little jealous. (cold dreary Victorian typing here........hehehe (fortunately, not one in lockdown - yet)).
ReplyDeleteI love having little get aways and you had the perfect spot and weather by the look of it. Cute slippers - they look very cosy.
ReplyDeleteYour little get away sounds wonderful Fiona. I have been away to my Mums also but it was "no holiday". I love those slippers you have made from the wool blanket.
ReplyDeleteA weekend away is always fun!

ReplyDeleteLooks like we are back in lock down here for another 6 weeks. So be it.
A few days by the water would have been lovely, especially as spent with your family. It looks like you had nice weather for it. Your tootsies will be warm as toast now.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you had a wonderful weekend. Hope the comment issue gets fix soon for you. ;^)
ReplyDeleteLovely to get away Fiona - the beach looks beautiful and the food delicious.xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to relax, and it doesn't look crowded. We cannot find a beach without crowds. They closed off the lakes and ponds so everyone is at the ocean.

Your weekend away sounds fabulous Fiona - it's always nice to recharge the batteries. Those slippers do look nice and cosy - I have wondered how blanket slippers are to walk in. Hope you've sorted out your comments issue, it's so frustrating when things like that change and we don't know how to sort it!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh sea and sand! How lovely! Glad you enjoyed your mini vacation. Your slippers do look snuggly. Your bunting is looking lovely too xx
