Cheryll hosts WOOFA to motivate working on projects....
my list of UFO's is certainly getting less, (not to say I haven't started things so that I can have a decent list next year!!!)
This month the main WOOFA project was my pineapple quilt.... this is all finished now
.. the other one I worked on was putting the blocks together for this quilt.... but it won't be quilted for a while I think....
Did you know Facebook now has a 'Rooms' function? I learnt of it when a room was sorted to celebrate MIL's 90th birthday.... so a few of us had a go this week.... and it works very well....
Sue in Victoria, (hope you don't mind me stealing your picture) Maria from WA and Michelle and I in Queensland....
took a bit of getting used to as we all want to talk at the same time (wierd hey?)
I did a few more borders on my crochet blocks while we chatted.....
My most favourite LQS closed it's bricks and mortar store this week. Thank goodness it will still operate but in different ways and we can still keep in contact. Of course with changes there is sales.... I did limit what I got but I popped in yesterday for my last visit at that spot and got hold of this piece of fabric....
I have absolutely no idea what to do with it... but look... glow in the dark!!! If nothing else it will make me smile!
This week I worked on my needleturn centre for a quilt.....
I need to add on some borders and then there is some more needleturn to go in the corners...
So pretty.... Pattern book is "Blue" by Natalie Bird and I am using Tilda fabrics.....
Righto, weekend is here, the floors have been mopped and I can go and play with my quilting machine... after my cuppa that is!
Have a lovely weekend.....
Oh Fiona... you are working on or have finished some beautiful projects. Congrats on a WOOFA finish too.

ReplyDeleteThe glow in the dark will be great for widget and co!! a lot of fun.
I do love Natalie's quilt - but seems there is pressure afoot to work on "heartstrings"... wish I could do it all.
:-(
The Pineapple quilt is a lovely finish and all the OBW blocks are stunning all sewn together..
ReplyDeleteDo like Michelle's idea of PJ's with your glow in the dark fabric...
Beautiful Tilda Block..
It is funny that we chat at the some time but fun.
Well done meeting those goals.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what you will do with that unusual glowing fabric?
Love the quilt centre.
Congratulations on finishing Pineapple quilt. (You need to find a name for that one, please.) The red, white and blue quilt is awesome! Wow! I love this one. Love the layout. ♥
ReplyDeleteWhen we have our TEAM meetings at work, we raise our hands, if we want to talk, just like in school. (Oh! Me. Me. Me. It's hilarious!)
I had some fabric that glow in the dark too but it was printed. This is so cool. You have to make something for Widget. He'll love it.
Enjoy the weekend. I plan to sew lots. ;^)
No problems with the photo, happy to share. I hope you have your comments working ok now. Love both the pineapple quilt and the OBW, having a deadline certainly gets things done. Raising our hands sounds like a great idea 😁😁. Your applique is beautiful, looking forward to seeing what you do with the glow in the dark fabric.
ReplyDeleteWell done on your Woofa finish. Your pineapple quilt is really lovely.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
I am amazed at all of the beautiful projects. you get done, need some of you motivation to finish my projects. I think the summer heat is getting to me so small things are easier.

Ooooooo I love your needleturned applique! It is so pretty. Lots of lovely projects happening there. Sorry to hear about your quilt shop but it has sadly happened to many even prior to the pandemic. Great fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI’ve seen the “Rooms” thingo pop up in a Facebook, but didn’t realise what it was. It must have been fun to have a catch up. WOOFA is keeping us all on the straight and narrow with our UFOs, which is good. Your latest ones look great. That glow in the dark is a bit freaky. I wonder how long it lasts and how it washes? I love your “Love” centre. The colours really suit it.
ReplyDeleteThat glow in the dark fabric is amazing! I'm sure you'll think of something fun to do with it, maybe for the grandkids :)
ReplyDeleteLovely work Fiona, and congrats on your WOOFA finish!
ReplyDeleteYour Tilda block is gorgeous Fiona. Well done on making such good progress on your Woofa projects. I love them both, and I'm particularly impressed by how your OBW came together and the way your colour layout works so well. I had seen the rooms thing but totally ignored it as it seemed too new-fandangled to me!!! So cool that you got to catch up :-)
