Some Easter sewing.....

I did finish off Widget's wheat bag... a mix of wheat, rice and lavender went inside.....

… it got put to good use right away (not my face, not my face Nana!!)

I had to make a rush purchase of some elastic but got a pair of PJ's made …

be great for wandering around the house...

Widget and his mom came back for lunch on Sunday... special request for Yorkshire puddings - I have recently started using Jamie Oliver's recipe for them and both times they have been very successful ….. nice and light and fluffy and yummy with loads of gravy

DD was in charge of dessert.... loved these mini pavlova's.... after the picture they got little mini Easter eggs on them too....

I have done a few more rows of the crochet blanket..... it's an easy pattern and good for in the car...

Plans changed again and Widget asked to stay.  We gave him a model aeroplane with his Easter egg so he was keen to have Pops around to help him make it.... (not my face Nana, not my face!)

I finished off my Sashiko block.... I really enjoyed doing it and think I will do more.... There is a lovely big panel at The Quilters Angel with lots of block designs already printed on it.... I love the grey..... a bit different to the usual.

… and I did applique down the Dresden plate and added the circle …. lovely hand stiching to play with …...

We didn't have ChooseDay sewing this week.... so I just carried on with work quilting (which is also fun so I'm not complaining).

Righto, Gotto Go... I want to prep a block of 'Wings' for some needleturn stitching in the evening... and get on with my second pair of PJ's....

  10. Oh, Widget! Is he embarrassed that all your quilting friends think he's so cute? We do respect his privacy :) Your pajamas look great! I love that soft floral.

  11. It sounds like you do enjoy your time with Widget - hehe very 'cute' that he doesn't want his face photographed - just as well we have seen it before and can picture what he looks like! Great idea with the PJs - I have queen sheets that don't fit on our king bed and there's only so many cot sheets one can make! The Sashiko stitching looks fun; the panels are a good idea for starting out with it. I adore your blanket - those colours are so pretty and soft.
