It all started with a long list....
First off was to put the final border on my Granny Square quilt....
not much to that - the strips were cut so it was just measuring and stitching
Need to look out for backing then this one can join the quilting queue....
Next I chain stitched a bunch of tiny Dresden blades
.. and made a pretty plate of them… ready for hand-sewing down in the evening....
Garden Sunshine by Quilt Doodle Designs is a sweet mystery quilt I am doing.... this is February's block.... a Facebook group is keeping me motivated to keep up....
Susan and Elyte are my motivation for this next one... I wasn't planning on doing it but I loved their blocks... and I did have a bundle of shirtings that have been lounging in my drawer for years....
One block Wednesday is hosted by Temulca Quilt Company....
I was a week behind so I did two sets today.... they don't take too long and I had the pieces all cut and ready....
I placed the finished blocks in a tin..... (the blocks are 4" square)
I hope I don't forget where I put them! The plan is to do 12 blocks per week for 30 weeks for the quilt. I think I will be able to keep up with that.
so I definitely ticked some things off the list... there is still lots more to be done though.
I do enjoy the ChooseDays… its lots of sewing time

Righto, Gotto Go.... I smell coffee!
Your Granny squares look great. Those Dresden blades are skinny! You have been sewing up a storm x
ReplyDeleteThe granny squares really look beautiful all together. You have quite a few wonderful projects going, I like to get plastic boxes to fit my projects, nice way to keep the blocks and fabrics in one place. Now I need to open some and finish them;)

I'm tired just reading of everything you achieved. Mind you, I see there are a few items on your list that aren't crossed off as yet, so you won't be bored for a while yet.
