Quilt top is done....

A bit of an overload of posts - but I had fun whilst taking a break from job job....

My version of Dutch Treat ….

 There are 196 blocks altogether

I cut mine at 5 1/2" and placed with no sashing so they could 'float'

Different colour backs so I sorted into piles of colours and then started in the middle and went round and round till it was 14 squares square.....

Then I added a blue peeper border and 3" more of the background

I will add another peeper just under the binding once it is quilted

This is the back...you can see the colours clearer....

The binding is made..... and it is going to wait now

I did fancy the idea of hand quilting but I have never done a quilt before and it is heavy already with the two layers of fabric.

I will think on it....

In my head a Quilt UFO turns into a Quilt Top and can go off my UFO list...

Righto, Gotto Go...… ChooseDay Girls sewing has resumed for 2019

(I'll be working on yet another UFO {and maybe a new project})

  3. Oh! My! Sizzling bacon!! It is gorgeous already. I love it so much. Love the peeper too. Well done, Fiona, very well done! Hand-quilting it would be very nice but it's faster by machine. ;^)
