I wish you all a Happy New Year. I hope 2019 is happy, and full of the things you love. Personally - well it's just another day of another year ... and every day is an opportunity for something …
It is a good time of year to do a look into my drawers to find forgotten unfinished projects. Each year I make a big effort to work on them... and each year I make a brand new lot so the numbers seem to continually grow! I list the UFO's I finished on the left of my page (participating in Joy's Finishing Stitches challenge) …. so you can see I have done a good number of them.
I have made a page for this years UFO's HERE..... it's mostly for my reference as I do go to it from time to time to check where I am and mark off the ones I have done.....
Quite a few of the projects I worked on have moved to the Quilt Tops page HERE.... that list I think is even longer!
Looks like I need more cupboard space!! Most of these are wrapped with their backings, binding and their wadding so it looks even more.... but I know there are lots!
Of course there are plans too.....
I am going to join in with Helen for the No Fuss Stitch-a-long and make another of Leanne Beasleys sweet stitchery/piecing quilts. I have a bundle of flannels I want to use for this one.
For my scrap project I am thinking of joining Susan and others in making String blocks with Lori at Humble Quilts but I am also keen to do a Pineapple Quilt.
…. and I really, really want to get a start on making some mini quilts....
Of course there are other quilts I have 'kitted' up and want to make.....
Righto, Gotto Go.... first up is a market bag ...
All the best to you and your family, Fiona, for a great and productive 2019!
ReplyDeleteVery best wishes for 2019, lots of exciting projects to happen at yours this year.
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes for 2019....it's a pity you don't know of a nice quilting lady to do those quilts.....I know one...hehehe
ReplyDeleteI've done my list too of what to work on for 2019 - but I know more stuff will creep in.
ReplyDeleteYou do have a few quilts to quilt!!!

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you both. F you go missing this year I know to look for yo in the sewing room. You’ll be flat out in there to get all your projects completed. I’m looking forward to seeing your new No Pressure Stitch Along progress.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Just another day here too, lol, except hubby is home. On a TUESDAY. I'm always glad when the holidays are over, lol....looks like you'll be spending a lot of your new year in the sewing room Fiona, and I can't think of a better place to be!!
ReplyDeleteOh there's plenty to keep you busy in 2019 both old and new projects....ENJOY!!
ReplyDeleteWell, there's no point in wishing you many new projects for the new year as you have already found plenty. I saw your UFO page and that hefty closet should suffice for the next 12 months. But where's the fun in that? Of course you need some new projects too. So, I will just say; may you have plenty of sewing time in 2019. ;^)
ReplyDeleteAll the best for 2019, happy stitching :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to make a pineapple quilt from your strings, will look amazing.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year. Look forward to seeing you projects that you create this year. Hugs,xx
ReplyDeleteYay! here we go again. Another year full of wonderful possibilities.
ReplyDeleteYou have lots of plans already but it would be so boring if everything was up to date and finished. What would we do with ourselves then!
Good luck.
Happy New Year and Happy Stitching. xx
ReplyDeleteI wish you the best in moving all those projects forward. I decided not to make a list this year, to keep me from getting overwhelmed. I am just going to try to keep moving projects forward and have fun with it this year.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you are so organised and set to have so much fun! Hope you have a great year of creative fun!
