FNWF

Thanks Cheryll for hosting FNWF …. and I love your new hot pad for your new kitchen....

I had another day out going to a Christmas Craft Fair in Gatton - it is held annually and there is lots of beautiful hand made goodies.  Lots of people and the pay queue was very long which is good that the sales were going so well..... not so good when you just want $9 worth of lollies for kids!

After that Lyn and I went to Forest Hill to visit the new little Patchwork shop there...

It's lovely to see a Mother and Daughter team holding classes, sewing and getting creative in this little town.

When I got home I had a little stroll around the garden and picked a few flowers.  The lilac are lovely and scented from my lilac bush which hasn't flowered the last couple of years.  The pink I think is an Australian native - very tough and every year flowers so well.

In the evening I sewed that circle of pink hearts on this large Blockheads block.  I hadn't like the big plain blue patch so blanket stitched that on.....  It goes a bit better with the rest of the blocks now.

Then I did a little bit of stitching on this little United Stitches stitchery ….

Didn't stay up very late... roadtrips 2 days in a row is exhausting!!!

Righto, I have quite a few Blockheads blocks to catch up on so I am hoping to do a bit of planning and cutting so they will be ready for stitching next week....

Take care everyone, and have a lovely weekend.....

  4. Such pretty flowers. Have fun getting up to date with Blockheads. I too like to kit up blocks and then get stuck. And get them done.

  6. I luv it when a Blockheads square is personalized and yours is perfect!! The small flower that's formed in the very center, wonderfully carries the theme! Your sweet lilac/flower bouquet is just my "cup of tea"! November has descended in a classic dreary/overcast/flurries manner......trees are completely bare (due to the high winds we experienced 2 weeks ago!) and any hint of "Fall color" has long since blown away........the talk of warmer climes has crept into conversations in this household with DH longing for our little South Texas winter get-away (the planned leave date remains at December 27th, however, as Christmas spent with the kids is still uppermost in my list of important items!). Hugs coming your way.............

  10. Perfect solution to fill the empty center on that block! I can’t wait to see all your Blockhead blocks together. It’s going to be beautiful. Sweet little stitchery! I rec'd a lovely pattern for my birthday (from Australia) and need to prep it as my 'to go' project for when I travel. I haven’t embroidered in a long while and am looking forward to it. What gorgeous flowers! You’ve arranged them so professionally! Wish it was spring here. Have a good week! XO

  14. A lot of our shows are out of state and with a two hour drive, wouldn't leave as much time to enjoy browsing, so haven't been to any. I am always on the go, on weekends, so I am too tired to stitch. Wonderful projects that you are working on.

I had a diary note to go to Gatton - not this year though!
