The hedgehogs take much longer than I thought as they are small pieces and changing colours. Quite a few of them got sewn and I am spending some time at night pulling the loose threads to the back and tying them off. Also I will need to sew their little eyes and mouths.
Definitely a Work in Progress.....
Another Work in Progress is Angel Story and this is my latest block.... Angela the Animal Lover....
I had last weeks Blockhead to catch up and this week they surprised me with two blocks ….. yet another Work in Progress....
We have this weird looking succulent in a basket outside (above the BBQ which is why those metal lizards hold cooking tools!) There are long spikes that grow up and bushy bunches that grow down....
So fun to see them covered in flowers … I've never seen it do that before... The flowers are quite similar in shape to the zygocactus but much smaller....
I want to take a bunch of cuttings after they have flowered... for my new shade house.....
Righto, Gotto Go.... catching up with a friend I haven't seen for many years.... might be a bit of chatting!
I hope your week has gone well
Good morning! Love your blocks. Angela the Animal Lover is so me. I love all animals (but wouldn't put a bird in a cage) and I love orange and blue. Guess what Angela's wearing? Ah! It is so "moi!". I just had to laugh out loud, loud, loud. Your Blockhead flower is so pretty. Love it! Very interesting looking succulent you have growing out there. Have a wonderful day! ;^)
ReplyDeleteLove the hedgehog, very cute! Angela the animal lover is lovely too. Great blocks, that sure is an unusual plant, the flower are pretty though.
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely progress. Well done .
ReplyDeleteI love the hair on Angela the animal lover ...what an interesting plant.
ReplyDeleteLovely work on the hedgehogs and the blocks. Looks like the plans to add extra plants are well under way!
ReplyDeleteThe hedgehogs are coming along nicely. I always find that the tying off of threads is the slowest part of machine applique, but worth the effort to keep it nice and tidy. How good is your succulent. I had one of those in a pot as a teenager, and I didn't even realise they flower. You must be treating it just right.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting plant - I have never seen one before! Your hedgies are straying dangerously close to fiddly-diddly applique......have a wonderful catch-up with your friend, Fiona.
ReplyDeleteHow cute is your wee hedgehog! Angela looks very trendy in herfunky pants...
