I have seen many people remarking on the problems with comments being emailed.... I'm just adding my apologies for not sending replies to anyone. I have commented on my individual page but many of us don't go back to the blogs - changed a setting and now my comments on comments have disappeared too!!! haha.... I shouldn't try and fix things on my own!
On Friday we had a scheduled power outage..... not that I really need an excuse but this is always a great time for me to get out my treadle machine and do some of my own sewing (usually I do work sewing during the day - except for ChooseDays!)
We treadled and hummed together .....
On Friday night at The Quilters Angel sewing we had some lovely treats... we always get delicious desserts but this time it was an assortment of lovely little treats....
Because some pressing needed to be done there was only so much I could do whilst the electricity was shut down so I continued on Saturday.
The top is all together now.... I do love it..... the edges will be trimmed straight post quilting....
The thread lasted me out well too!
I finished off my knitted wash cloth. Jane from Loopy's Place put out a calender with a different craft each month. I haven't kept up with them all but I do love handmade wash cloths and knitting (or crochet) is something I can do when sitting in the car
This top was made completely on the treadle machine..... finished size is 69" x 83"
Righto, Gotto Go - power is on - there is work to be done!
Beautiful top. Love the colours. Love a knitted or crocheted cloth myself. Oh those cakes look ever so yummy. Hugs, xx

Love your diamonds. Those desserts look so tempting, yumm! ;^)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing job of your Diamond Quilt on the trusty treadle. Isn't it good when your cotton is just enough...
ReplyDeleteYummy treats at Quilter's angel...
Nice dishcloth.
Hope this commenting is sorted....
Not sure how you can choose just one of those cakes! Love the diamond quilt top and the colour you chose for your flannel
ReplyDeleteThe diamonds look great.....
ReplyDeleteYour diamond top is just wonderful! Great work. Bet those cakes didn't last too long. xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty top......I am still using dishcloths I knitted years ago. Yummy cakes, did you leave any for me?
ReplyDeleteYour top is gorgeous and well done on making it all on the treadle!! I started making a mini on mine but haven't got back to it in a while. Will you quilt it on the treadle too.... :-0 (PS those dessert goodies look Delish!)
ReplyDeleteWow, all on the treadle, you are amazing!! I would love to own a treadle... one day... :) Sorry everyone on blogger is having so much trouble - this whole privacy thing is such a pain. xx
ReplyDeleteYour diamond quilt is beautiful, so impressed you made it all on the treadle, I have never go the foot to hand coordination to sew on a treadle the few times I have had the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful top, lovely fabrics and colours.
ReplyDeleteOh, those diamonds are lovely! I'm tempted to try something similar, although laying tops out in diagonal rows makes me cranky. I just have no place to leave the top half finished and it's so hard to pick up those oddly shapes rows. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteDon't feel guilty about not answering your comments. We're all in the same boat (ha ha!) trying to see how this all plays out...
Lovely diamond quilt
ReplyDeleteand I get that its a pain to reply at the moment - lets hope it can get sorted.
You can't keep a good woman down... electricity or not...xox
ReplyDeleteWell done on the finish with the diamond top. That looks great. Love that it was all done on the treadle.
ReplyDeleteThose sweet delights from Friday night looked far too tempting!!
Good luck sorting out comments. For once it is not my site that is mucking up.
With so many complaints I hope Blogger sorts it out for everyone.
Your quilt is wonderful, Fiona.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt and look at those yummy desserts :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful quilt, love the design and fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI realized something was wrong when I didn't get any mail from posts, really love having it come to my mail so I can replay to each one.
Debbie
How good is that and a somewhat tricky pattern to match corners on, so a great achievement on the deadly treadly. Now, will you be quilting it on the treadly or going the modern method?
