The Weekend disappeared......

... but I did all sorts of little bits and pieces done...

Towards the end of last week we had a couple of days with this kind of view..... I have to say I just loved it....  the temperature dropped from mid 30's on Wednesday to mid 20's on thursday and to 16 on Friday.... had to go and dig out the tracksuit pants and thick socks!!!  Just wonderful....

Not heaps of rain but it will certainly help get the grass green again....

... and always lovely when there is a pretty rainbow at the end of it.  I can never get a good picture of the colours but they were there.....

Friday night was sewing with the girls at Quilters Angel... we had a big group this week and lots of chatting... and a bit of stitching.....  I carried on with Flowerville....

I finished another Dutch Treat on Saturday.... it was almost done anyway and just needed one of the straight edges finished off.....

Hubz wanted some plants to fill in where some of his hedge had died and I spied some little succulents and remembered I had some glass hanging terrarium thingiemabobs....

... a bit of mess and now they are hanging in my bathroom..... we have these rather odd towel hanger thingamiebobs which don't hold towels well but they work for my terrarium thingamiebobs....  they look good against the mirror ....

I hope they survive... I don't have a good track record with indoor plants but hopefully Hubz will keep an eye on them....

My next UFO project is some mug rugs which have been lying around for ages.... but I wanted to pimp them up a bit... so I got some bits of lace to handstitch down....

... and bits of rickrack to fiddle with.....

Righto, Gotto Go - we are back to Monday and I need to get to doing some work....

Have a lovely week......xx

  4. Nothing like a good rain when it has been hot and dry. We are getting too much, but at least it will carry us through the summer. Wonderful projects and your plantings are beautiful and unique.

  9. Lucky you - rain! The cooler weather has been lovely, although it wasn't quite as cold here. At least nights are better for sleeping......but this weekend will be hot again.....I like your terrarium thingamiebobs, very pretty.....we have succulents on large pots on our front verandah, they are growing well because I haven't managed to kill them yet.

  15. Cute succulents, just dont overwater them! And perhaps take outside for some sun regularly if there is not much in your bathroom.
